Romantic Window Display Part II

Monday, February 4th, 2013

Our Plumed Serpent window display was a huge success! It was the perfect combination of Anthropologie meets French chic. We chose a super cool blush Anne Barge ombre skirt and lace corset, to serve as the backdrop for our display. We draped white heart garland across the space and hung a silver glitter L.O.V.E  sign in front of two ivory velvet fabric pieces. We brought in a gray upholstered “Malibu” French chair from GreenRoom and placed a white ruffled clutch and long gloves over the side. To finish it off, we placed a pink and white plate of macarons on a small table with a bottle of champagne and two glasses. Belle!

Keep in mind these photos were taken with our iPhone’s, but you get the idea…

Sonoma Wedding

Friday, September 21st, 2012

Today, we are featuring a gorgeous wedding from our friend, Kelly Kreig Blythe, who got married at the beautiful Cline Cellars in Sonoma, California. There were so many little details that made this wedding extra special and personal. From the lace “Mr.” “Mrs.” chair covers, to the vintage getaway car, to the “Here Comes the bride” pennant flag, this wedding had so many adorable elements. We love the peach florals, hand calligraphed escort cards, and whimsical cake topper. Congrats Kelly and Trevor!

Kelly and Trevor’s wedding was recently featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs. This stunning wedding was photographed by Troy Grover Photographers and planned by Holiday Weddings.

Cardinal, Crimson and Scarlet

Monday, April 16th, 2012

Vera Wang does it again by pushing the boundaries in bridal! Her spring 2013 line consists of cardinal, crimson, and scarlet hues that have frothy, full skirts with floral details and horsehair trims. This style is traditional to wedding attire in Eastern cultures, but how does everyone else feel about this bold choice in color and style? We love it!

The Plumed Serpent Bridal

Monday, March 12th, 2012

While in Westport last week for a few meetings with our October bride, we stumbled upon The Plumed Serpent bridal boutique and were in awe of the beautiful wedding dresses that they carry. So much so, that we convinced our bride to try on the MOST BEAUTIFUL Monique Lhullier dress we had ever seen and of course she looked flawless in it! Carrying brands from Monique Lhullier to Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera, the Plumed Serpent saves their brides a trip to NYC for designer selections while offering a personalized experience that every bride will appreciate.

Behold Houston

Monday, November 7th, 2011

This past weekend, I was in Houston for a wedding and of course made time for a quick visit to BHDLN (pronounced beholden). The store was even more beautiful than I had imagined and was filled to the brim with gorgeous wedding dresses and insanely stunning jewelry and shoes. In addition to the clothing, there was a beautifully stylized room (as Anthropologie does best) that contained tons of stationery, bridesmaids gifts, candles, cake stands and more. I felt like a kid in a candy store! If you can’t make it to Houston, check out the equally beautiful website, BHDLN. Happy shopping.
