Even though the winter season is only just beginning, there is still always something springy to look forward to! The recently revealed spring and summer bridal collections by the world’s premier designers hit runways earlier this fall, and boy did they impress! We can’t help but drool over one of our personal favorites though: J. Mendel. Once again his newest collection outdid anything we could have imagined, featuring everything from geometric contemporary to classic elegance. Her are just a fabulous few from his line, take a look.

We recently read about a new online bridesmaid dress retailer called Weddington Way in the Huffington Post. What’s great about this site is that you and your bridesmaids can search through many different brands by color and share your selections via your personal showroom. Each maid will have access to the showroom and can comment on the styles that she likes. Finally a website that allows for the bridesmaids to pick and choose and agree on a dress that works for everyone! What a perfect solution to the busy bride whose bridal party is located all over the country, or even the globe.
Our Plumed Serpent window display was a huge success! It was the perfect combination of Anthropologie meets French chic. We chose a super cool blush Anne Barge ombre skirt and lace corset, to serve as the backdrop for our display. We draped white heart garland across the space and hung a silver glitter L.O.V.E sign in front of two ivory velvet fabric pieces. We brought in a gray upholstered “Malibu” French chair from GreenRoom and placed a white ruffled clutch and long gloves over the side. To finish it off, we placed a pink and white plate of macarons on a small table with a bottle of champagne and two glasses. Belle!
Keep in mind these photos were taken with our iPhone’s, but you get the idea…
Tomorrow Bellafare is installing a window display at the lovely bridal boutique, Plumed Serpent, in Westport, CT. We chose a stunning, one-of-a-kind blush Spanish Tulle Monique Lhuillier wedding dress, to base our design off of. We are going for a romantic Valentine’s Day inspired theme with a French infleunce, as the display will be up through the end of February.
Stay tuned for the photos of the actual installation next week…
We are big fans of Elie Saab, however, his wedding dresses are a bit hard to come by! Pronovias, is now carrying Elie Saab’s 2013 collection. There is just something so incredibly feminine, elegant, and delicate about his dresses!
We first saw Jackie on Shark Tank and even though she didn’t get picked up on the show, we thought her idea was genius. Jackie is the founder of Nearly Newlywed, an online bridal gown retailer that buys and sells ‘nearly new’ designer gowns. Featuring dresses from designers including Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier, Elie Saab, Vera Wang, Marchesa, Lanvin, Carolina Herrera, Reem Acra, Phillip Lim, Alberta Ferretti, Temperley, and more, each dress is hand picked by Jackie and carefully approved and inspected by her team. Today, we are featuring a gorgeous wedding from our friend, Kelly Kreig Blythe, who got married at the beautiful Cline Cellars in Sonoma, California. There were so many little details that made this wedding extra special and personal. From the lace “Mr.” “Mrs.” chair covers, to the vintage getaway car, to the “Here Comes the bride” pennant flag, this wedding had so many adorable elements. We love the peach florals, hand calligraphed escort cards, and whimsical cake topper. Congrats Kelly and Trevor!
