Vineyard Wedding

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

We wanted to share a little sneak peak of our most recent wedding that took place at the beautiful Veritas Vineyard in Charlottesville, Virginia. What an escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City! The vineyard and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for the couples’ exchange of vows. Cocktailing took place on the outdoor terrace and tasting room, as guests sipped on Arnold Palmers and John Dalys’. The reception was held inside the ballroom covered in reclaimed wood and went late into the night as the cover band, Burnt Siena, did not disappoint. Big thank you to Scott Clark for capturing these beautiful moments!

Tuscan Paradise

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

In our professional and personal opinion (being avid Italian lovers), there is nothing more magical and romantic than hosting a wedding in the Italian countryside. Having recently honeymooned in Italy, I was introduced to Il Borro located in the Arezzo region of Tuscany. I was instantly drawn to the sophistication, natural beauty, and tranquility of this unique property. From wine tasting to horseback riding to cooking classes, there are several activities for guests to enjoy during their stay. In the heart of the estate, lies Villa il Borro, which would be an ideal venue for a cocktail party, intimate dinner, or even a wedding. One month later, I am still day dreaming of olive oil, truffles, and prosciutto!

Queen for a Day…or Two…

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

Starting in January 2012, you can live like royalty at the Hotel du Grand Controle, a dilapidated mansion on the grounds of Versaille that is undergoing a MAJOR renovation.  The mansion was built in the 1680s to accommodate the king’s treasurer, along with his family and servants.  Wake up and open your windows to a view of the palace and the Orangerie, then take a stroll through the gardens with a glass of bubbly.  Don’t mind if we do!

Nest Event Loft

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

We recently visited the Nest Event Loft in Flatiron. What a beautiful spot! Not only is there an incredible view, but it is decorated by the in-house designer, Hatch Creative Studios. The birch tables and antlers provide the perfect backdrop for a winter cocktail party, however, the props are constantly changing offering a new look to the raw space.

Vintage Inspired Wedding

Monday, November 8th, 2010

Congratulations to our most recent bride and groom, Abby & Travis! On Friday, Bellafare planned a wedding at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City. We had a blast pulling from their endless supply of props and treasures! The special day included many personal touches such as handmade escort cards, a vintage photo booth, engagement photos displayed on trunks and suitcases and old books stacked at each table. Here are a few photos to wet your palette!

These amazing photos were taken by Jen Huang of Jen Huang Photography.

We are anxiously anticipating our November wedding at the beautiful Metropolitan Building in Long Island City. Not only is the space extremely characterful, but it is filled with tons of vintage furniture, props, and more. Photographers swoon over this gorgeous loft and we cannot wait to dive into all of its treasures. Stay tuned next month for photos from this vintage inspired wedding!

Gramercy Park Hotel Engagement Party

Monday, June 28th, 2010

We have always wanted to plan an event at the unbelievable Gramercy Park Hotel and were given the opportunity when our client hired us to plan their engagement party at a unique New York City rooftop location. We immediately thought of Gramercy Park…who doesn’t love its gothic decor and unreal views of the Empire State Building?? Even better, Danny Meyer just opened a new restaurant in the hotel called Maialino and catered the event. Guests sipped  jalepeno infused tequila cocktails and berry  bellini’s. All in all, it was a quintessential New York City cocktail party that guests are sure to remember.

These gorgeous photos were taken by Scott Clark Photography of course! http://scottclarkphoto.com/wedding

Mad Men 50th

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

This past weekend we planned a “Mad Men” themed, husband and wife’s joint 50th Birthday Party at the Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, CT.  Guests enjoyed 60′s inspired music from Hank Lane (who sang on vintage mics, wearing white tuxes) and specialty cocktails such as Tom Collins and Vodka Gimlets.  We even had a photo booth, where the backdrop was a scene from a Mad Men episode, and guests posed in front wearing their best Mad Men inspired outfits and using vintage props, provided by Bellafare.  As guests danced the night away on a white dance floor with projected floating Mad Men images, a slide show of the couple through their 50 years was projected onto the roof of the tent, which later became the screen for streaming images that were taken at the photo booth.  Some photos are below, but please check out our facebook page to see more!
