For some reason, we have recently been drawn to everything peach. How delicious is this wedding color palette? Yum…it reminds us of sorbet!

Bayside Country Chic

Monday, June 13th, 2011

This past weekend we had a beautiful bayside wedding in Maryland despite threatening thunderstorms throughout the weekend.  It was so great working with all of the fabulous vendors to make the day so special for our bride and groom, Sarah and Erik.

Guests entered a sprawling ceremony tent that faced the water as they awaited the bride, who walked down a fully floored aisle from the reception tent.  After the ceremony, the guests were able to enjoy cocktails and nibblies provided by Federal City Catering under a round tent (with a round bar, of course!).  Sue Coe Designs provided custom monogrammed stationery throughout the evening from programs to menus to cocktail napkins. The custom monogram even made an appearance on the 5-tiered cake from One Sweet Bite. Gorgeous arrangements from Holly Chapple Flowers of white and green florals in milk glass vases set the tone throughout the evening atop alternating linens from Party Rental Ltd.  All tents and flooring were provided by Sperry Tents. More photos to come, but check out Holly’s blog for a sneak peek!

Exclusive flowers at a non-exclusive price

Monday, October 4th, 2010

We love meeting with new vendors in the industry to exchange ideas and create ways to work together on various projects. We just met with Rachel from Bridal Flowers Exclusive and learned about her unique wedding offerings. She has a Manhattan based office but also drives around a personalized RV to suburban events for any last minute tweaks. How fun is that? Rachel is able to save on overhead costs by not owning a storefront and therefore is able to extend these savings to her clients. She has been featured on Fox’s morning show and has worked with some of the most exclusive wedding venues in the city. Check out her site for photos of her beautiful work: www.bridalflowersexclusive.com!

Holiday Table Settings

Table Settings

Spice up your holiday table setting with feathers.  A cost effective alternative to a large bouquet of flowers, this instantly adds a bit of glamour to any dinner table.  During the holidays, it is a great idea to personalize each table setting to reflect your family’s many traditions and personalities.  Blue crab place card holders for families in Maryland or magnolia leaves for southern families add that extra charm.  Mixing up place cards to encourage your guests to get to know each other always helps add a bit of depth to the party.

And don’t forget the mistletoe!
