Molly Sims Wedding

May 9th, 2013 | Weddings

We just had to share the gorgeous wedding of Molly Sims and Scott Stuber, featured on Style Me Pretty today! Held at a private winery estate in Calistoga, California (which is stunning, btw) this garden themed affair was the perfect blend of casual elegance. The color palette was beige, blush, bone, with a touch of black and we are totally obsessing over the bridesmaid dresses that highlight this color scheme. Speaking of obsessing, how incredible is Molly’s Marchesa gown?? We absolutely adore how boho yet classic this beauty is !

Though we don’t know Molly personally, you can certainly feel the amount of love and adoration that she has for her husband, just by looking at these sweet photos. Her laid back approach is apparent throughout the well thought out, yet casual elements, like the garden chairs, posies, and pops of color.

We hope this marriage will be as beautiful as the couple is!

Spring Loft Wedding

May 1st, 2013 | Events

Weddings are upon us and as usual, Bellafare, has hit the ground running with two weddings last weekend to kick of the season. Today, we are going to share a few photos (keep in mind they are behind the scenes) from our spring loft wedding held at Studio 450 that we did Month-Of Coordination for. Our bride is a graphic designer and designed all of her wedding stationery, including the adorable table numbers that you see here. The florals were provided by Blossom and Branch and the delicious Mediterranean fare, which hinted at the Groom’s Turkish background, was provided by Real Food Catering. Guests danced the night away to music set by DJ Alias from Scratch Weddings and even participated in a Venezuelan tradition, called “Crazy Hour,” which included large foam hats and wigs that guests wore (we couldn’t help but take part in some of the fun) during a congo line and Turkish dance.

Cobblestone Catering

April 11th, 2013 | Vendor Love

On Tuesday, we were invited to an intimate dinner hosted by Cobblestone Catering + Face Time Beauty. As we arrived, we were greeted with tall glasses of sparkling rose, which we enjoyed on the rooftop of their gorgeous building located at 95 Wall Street. After cocktailing, we sat down for dinner, which began with a pretzel croissant, mustard butter, and a teeny weenie shot of white ale…yum! The chef, Jeremy, proceeded to present us with four more equally delicious and innovative plates. What fun it was to be on the other side of an event, mingling with other vendors in the biz while sampling some of Cobblestone’s yummy dishes.

Spring Forward

March 20th, 2013 | Design, Events, Weddings

Finally spring is here, although it sure doesn’t feel like it yet in NYC! As we are gearing up for our 2013 weddings, we are reminiscing about our favorite spring wedding from last season that took place at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. Talk about transforming a space…

Preston Bailey’s Wedding

March 4th, 2013 | Events, Vendor Love, Weddings

Preston Bailey married his longtime love, Theo Bleckmann, just after midnight on Valentine’s day. In true Preston Bailey fashion, his wedding was nothing short of spectacular with a King Kong theme that took place on the top floor of the Empire State Building. As guests entered the skyscraper, they were greeted with a giant floral King Kong statue that led to a hallway filled with thousands of florals, which completely transformed the otherwise raw space. Other surprising elements included a 12-foot-tall sculpture of a wedding gown created by designer, Reem Acra, which Bailey emerged from in a custom Reem Acra tuxedo and a gold tree strung with boxes of gourmet chocolate.

Joan Rivers officiated the ceremony and suggested that Bailey and Bleckmann incorporate the Jewish tradition of breaking the glass to mark the end of the ceremony and beginning of the party, which went late into the night (6am to be exact!).  Guests enjoyed breakfast-for-dessert finger foods catered by Great Performances and departed with chocolate hearts in honor of Valentine’s Day and a mini bottle of Chandon sparkling wine. Celeb guests included Martha Stewart, Nene and Greg Leakes and Cynthia Bailey from “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and Savannah Brinson (Lebron James’ fiancé).

Weddington Way

February 19th, 2013 | bridal, Vendor Love, Websites/Blogs, Weddings

We recently read about a new online bridesmaid dress retailer called Weddington Way in the Huffington Post. What’s great about this site is that you and your bridesmaids can search through many different brands by color and share your selections via your personal showroom. Each maid will have access to the showroom and can comment on the styles that she likes. Finally a website that allows for the bridesmaids to pick and choose and agree on a dress that works for everyone! What a perfect solution to the busy bride whose bridal party is located all over the country, or even the globe.

Romantic Window Display Part II

February 4th, 2013 | bridal, Events, Vendor Love

Our Plumed Serpent window display was a huge success! It was the perfect combination of Anthropologie meets French chic. We chose a super cool blush Anne Barge ombre skirt and lace corset, to serve as the backdrop for our display. We draped white heart garland across the space and hung a silver glitter L.O.V.E  sign in front of two ivory velvet fabric pieces. We brought in a gray upholstered “Malibu” French chair from GreenRoom and placed a white ruffled clutch and long gloves over the side. To finish it off, we placed a pink and white plate of macarons on a small table with a bottle of champagne and two glasses. Belle!

Keep in mind these photos were taken with our iPhone’s, but you get the idea…
